- On 71st Independence Day
On the 71st Independence Day, REWA chose to mark the national celebration with action across three fronts simultaneously: a deworming drive for children, a “Clean & Green Purulia” environmental rally, and a radium sticker road safety campaign for cyclists — all conducted on the same day.
This combined approach wasn’t accidental. REWA has long believed that education, health, and safety are deeply interconnected issues in the communities it serves, and Independence Day became an opportunity to demonstrate that connection in practice rather than address each cause separately.
How REWA Made an Impact
t By running three distinct initiatives in parallel, REWA was able to reach a wider cross-section of the community in a single coordinated effort — children benefited from the deworming drive, cyclists gained better night-time visibility from the radium stickers, and the broader neighborhood benefited from the environmental rally.
Special thanks to Shri Shamim Dad Khan Ji, whose support helped coordinate the logistics of running three activities in one day without compromising the quality of any of them.
