REWA volunteers joined a cleanliness drive at a government school near Puttanhalli, in direct support of the Prime Minister’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The drive reinforced hygiene as a shared civic responsibility rather than an obligation left to municipal workers alone.
Volunteers worked alongside school staff and students, cleaning shared spaces and modeling the kind of everyday civic behavior REWA hopes to instill more broadly across the communities it serves.
How REWA Made an Impact
Rather than treating this as a one-off gesture, REWA designed the drive to model behavior for the students present — demonstrating that a clean, healthy environment starts with everyday community action, not just top-down government policy.
