REWA celebrated its Foundation Day on 24th September with a full day dedicated to honoring womanhood and community well-being. Rather than marking the occasion with a simple ceremony, the team chose to mark it with direct service — bringing real healthcare access to women who rarely get the chance to prioritize their own health.

Dr. Priya Singhania extended free medical care to underprivileged women throughout the day, while Dr. Shrabani Mallick led a free dental check-up camp alongside her. Together, the two initiatives turned REWA’s anniversary into a day of tangible care rather than celebration for its own sake.

How We Solve This Project

This event reflected something core to REWA’s approach: milestones are best marked by service, not spectacle. By channeling a celebratory day into direct healthcare delivery, REWA reinforced its founding mission — to uplift underprivileged women through empowerment, education, and health — in the most literal way possible.

The response from the community reaffirmed why REWA continues to run recurring health camps throughout the year, treating access to basic medical and dental care as a right, not a privilege.
