On August 27th, REWA conducted Round 2 of its free medical check-up initiative for underprivileged women — a continuation of a program the organization has committed to running regularly rather than as a one-time gesture. For many of the women attending, this was their first medical check-up in years.

Led once again by Dr. Priya Singhania, the camp focused on accessible, judgment-free care, addressing common health concerns that often go unaddressed due to cost or access barriers in underserved communities.

How REWA Made an Impact

The camp reflects a core belief driving REWA’s women’s programs: financial and social empowerment cannot be separated from physical health. A woman cannot pursue entrepreneurship, education, or leadership if her basic health needs are being ignored — so REWA treats healthcare access as foundational, not supplementary, to empowerment work.

Because this was Round 2, it also demonstrates REWA’s commitment to sustained care rather than one-off outreach — building trust with the community through repeated presence, not a single visit.

Round 2 of Free Check-Up

A continuation of REWA's ongoing commitment, not a one-time gesture.

Led by Dr. Priya Singhania:

Trusted, consistent medical guidance for women who rarely get the chance to prioritize their own health.
