REWA’s very first initiative was a deeply personal one. Director Abhishek Saran personally distributed gifts to 40–45 differently-abled women at Swadhara, marking the organization’s founding commitment through direct, hands-on action rather than a formal launch ceremony.
There was no elaborate event structure — just a founder showing up, meeting the women REWA intended to serve, and giving directly. It was a small gesture in scale, but one that set the tone for everything the organization would go on to build.
How REWA Made an Impact
This launch event reflects REWA’s founding philosophy in its purest form: uplifting marginalized women by supporting their journey toward dignity, equality, and self-reliance — starting with the smallest, most human act of showing up and giving without conditions.
Every program REWA has built since — from Ujjwal Preschool to the Women’s Entrepreneurship Program — traces its roots back to this same instinct: meet people where they are, and build support systems around their real, immediate needs.
