Women’s Entrepreneurship Skill Fair

September 5 Free

This isn’t a typical fundraising event — it’s a marketplace. On September 5th, women from REWA’s Women’s Social Entrepreneurship Program will set up stalls to showcase and sell what they’ve built with their own hands: tailored clothing, handmade crafts, and home-cooked food items.

For many of the women participating, this is their first opportunity to sell directly to a public audience rather than through informal, small-scale channels. The fair gives them a real customer base, real feedback, and — just as importantly — real income from their own enterprise, not charity.

Visitors and donors attending the fair will get to meet the women behind these small businesses directly, hear their stories, and see firsthand what REWA’s entrepreneurship training actually produces. It’s one thing to read about a skill-development program; it’s another to hold a hand-stitched bag made by the woman who’s standing right in front of you.

Beyond the sales itself, the event also serves as a networking opportunity — past fairs have led to repeat customers, small B2B orders, and even mentorship connections between attendees and participants. If you’re looking for a way to support women’s empowerment that goes beyond a donation, buying directly from this fair is one of the most tangible ways to do it.
